We will set up a call with you to discuss the planning of your photoshoot.  Communication is really important for several reasons: for us as photographers to understand your vision for your portraits and for you to know how we set up the lighting and proceed with the shoot. 

A professional makeup artist can be arranged, happily, for your photoshoot, however, most of our photoshoots for Executive Headshots and Corporate portraits are usually done without the services of a makeup artist for several reasons; Digital retouching can take care of most facial issues (wrinkles pimples and so on, many ladies are adept at doing their own or having makeup done professionally prior to the shoot with their own artists and for men most prefer a more natural look.

Your business has a style.  You know who you are.  Let’s talk about it! Perhaps a buttoned up look is most suited to your message.  In that case I would recommend crisp clean lines.  Duds that are in good shape and fit well.  Men, please make sure that the top button can close.  Generally, staying away from patterns helps but rules are made to be broken- so let’s discuss.  If you are a tech company or legal or finance working with tech you may prefer casual or a more stylish feel.  That’s awesome.  

Business websites and social media are getting more stylish and there are literally an endless amount of choices for your backgrounds.  We will work with your branding company and web designers to make sure they get what they need without you having to do too much back and forth. We’ve had a lot of success and customer satisfaction shooting custom backgrounds around the office and processing those images to achieve certain feel.  Clients love having a unique background that cannot be duplicated by another company.  I then shoot everybody on white and digitally add the background later. The advantage to this is when you have a new employee you can just send them over to my studio for a quick shoot and I add your company’s “branded” background later.  Fast and easy!!  I can also do traditional studio style backgrounds; white (looks clean and if you like you can add your background later), various shades of gray, black. blue or anything you desire.  Let’s figure that out together.

Always remember to keep everybody in the loop and then do it again and again!  Over twenty years of experience of shooting headshots in New York teaches us that no matter how many times the super-efficient corporate New York marketing professionals at various companies remind people about their firm photo shoot somebody will forget to dress for the occasion.  Which is totally understandable as we are dealing with some of the busiest attorneys, bankers, hedge fund managers and tech entrepreneurs.  People who are responsible for important and valuable matters may not give too much importance to their photoshoot.  We understand this reality and will work quickly and efficiently with such people.  Just keep reminding them and if we have to come back we will.  

If shooting in your offices we always arrive early just in case of unforeseen circumstances.  Arrival times for photoshoot setup will be coordinated in advance.

A proper photo studio will be set up in your offices complete with multiple strobe lights, reflector and modifiers to give you that awesome studio look.  Let’s show everybody in their best light with our best lighting gear!   GOOD NEWS is our latest gear is now smaller than ever which means that for most buildings we can come through the visitor entrance but NO WORRIES, we have all of the proper insurance and can provide the necessary documentation should your building require it.

It’s always great to have a conference room with enough space blocked out with plenty of time for before and after the shoot – that’s the ideal.  If one in not available it’s all good.  We can shoot in a small room or come up with a creative solution – happy to discuss that and even visit your premises prior to the shoot date.  Lighting is not an issue as we bring our own.

The satisfaction of the subject being photographed as well as that of the corporate client is our highest priority!!  We really want each and every subject that comes before our camera to feel confident that their personal image concerns will be taken seriously.  It is our practice to preview the photos during the shoot and adjust accordingly.  Extra time will be taken to make sure that flattering angles and pleasing shadows will be used to maximize beauty during our photo session.

Very soon after our photo session, usually on the next business day, each person will have an individual on line gallery of their photo proofs created; showing all of the best images.  Links to theses galleries will be provided and once selections are made photos will be retouched and provided in various sizes; for print, website and Linkedin use.

Corporate photo shoot day is a terrific time to get those much needed group shots and team photos.  Executive team photos can enhance your business website highlight special practice areas.  These special practice area team photos are very useful for social media.  We are there to create photographic content for your corporate marketing team.
